Draw nights & Eastern Time: a simple reference

Many well-known US draw games that use a five-plus-one number format hold televised drawings on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, with a commonly quoted time of 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Media and regulators often use one time zone so everyone shares the same reference — your wall clock may differ.

Why Eastern Time is the default

Using a single anchor avoids confusion across states. Roughly: Central viewers see 9:59 p.m., Mountain often 8:59 p.m. (check Arizona seasonally), Pacific 7:59 p.m. Farther west, work backward from Eastern. This article is for general learning only.

Sales cutoffs are usually earlier

Retail sales for licensed games typically end before the published draw minute — sometimes an hour or more. Cutoff rules are set per jurisdiction, not by Powerbol.
